Amateur Theater Festival

The Inter-district Amateur Theater Festival of Southeast of Serbia is a prominent regional event held annually in May.

The Litanies of Lebane

The Litanies of Lebane is a movable religious feast celebrated on the first Saturday following Pentecost (Whitsun).
The celebration begins with a morning liturgy at the Church of St. John the Baptist. Following the service, a solemn ceremonial procession—consisting of clergy, local officials, schools, and families marches through the main street to the sacred “covenant” oak tree for a prayer of spiritual purification (moleban). The event concludes in the churchyard with a cultural program reflecting the rich traditions of Serbian Orthodoxy.

St. Vitus Day Futsal Tournament

The St. Vitus Day Memorial Futsal Tournament is a traditional sporting event held at the “Radovan Kovačević-Maksim” primary school sports grounds in Lebane. Starting on June 28th, the tournament brings together players across five age categories.
Following a week-long registration period and a formal draw, teams face off in a competitive knockout format. International Art Colony

Tomato Festival is a premier trade and tourism event dedicated to celebrating Lebane’s local economy and sustainable development. As the region is famous for its produce, the festival highlights the “red gold” of the Jablanica district.
The festival features various competitive categories, including the most beautifully decorated stall, the heaviest tomato, and the tastiest tomato-based dish and salad, all evaluated by an expert jury. Beyond the gastronomy, the event offers entertainment for all generations: children’s sports competitions, traditional folklore performances, live concerts by popular singers and DJs, and exhibitions of authentic local handicrafts.

The International Folklore Festival “In the Rhythm of the Jablanica Heart” is a vibrant celebration of tradition held every August at the small sports stadium.

The November Days of Culture run throughout the entire month of November, offering a rich and diverse cultural and artistic program.

A special focus is placed on the Formal Academy held on November 8th to mark Municipality Day and the town’s patron saint day, St. Demetrius.
